Desiard Street Shelter
Jesus the Good Shepherd is part of a group of churches who are working to maintain and grow the Desiard Street Shelter.  The shelter has been in operation for more than 10 years but have recently reorganized into a 501c3 nonprofit.  We are always looking for parishioners to join the team to help keep this important ministry an active part of our city.  Please contact the Church Office for more information. Just this year, the shelter will be taking in the homeless who were sleeping at the Salvation Army. They will be feeding and housing them, so extra volunteers will be needed. For more information, contact Randy Smith at 387-6496.
