What is Confirmation? "Then Peter and John laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit." Acts 8:14-17
The Sacrament of Confirmation is, with Baptism and Eucharist, one of the three sacraments of Initiation: Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism. Through the anoiting with the sacred chrism the baptized person is "enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit," and more than ever "obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed" (CCC 1285)
At Jesus the Good Shepherd Church... Who: The Confirmation program is open to 9th grade through 12th grade students. When: Meetings are Wednesday nights from 6pm to 7:30pm beginning October, 2nd. Optional dinner is provided from 5:30pm to 6pm. Where: Meetings are held at JGS Church in Parish Hall. Confirmation Mass: Saturday,April 25 at 4:30pm
